Time for a Tip!

I hope this post finds you in good health and happiness. I have been extremely happy lately...why? The weather here in So. Cali is amazing! It's my favorite time of year. Birds singing as the green leaves start to grow on the surrounding trees, flowers are blooming, the temperature is 80 degrees, the sky is perfectly blue and daylight savings time is here! Can't get much better than this!

Speaking of "savings," everyone is trying to save money right now, here is one great way of doing that...

Unplug your appliances and electronic devices from power outlets and save money on your electric bill and conserve a significant amount of energy and unnecessary CO2 from being released into the atmosphere. Some of the biggest energy wasters in people’s homes are the adapters (chargers) of cell phones, digital cameras, music players, and power tools. Unplug these adapters and electronics (televisions, DVD players, computers, microwaves, lights, entertainment systems, toasters and blenders) after using them.

As a general, rule in our home, we make sure that when we leave a room that we aren't going to be in much, we turn the lights off. (I'm sure some of you do that as well which is great!) When I'm not using the microwave, toaster oven, our phone chargers, or hairdryer, they are unplugged.

If you meticulously unplug just ONE appliance when not in use, you will save about 1,000 lbs of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere and roughly 20 bucks a year. Think how much you can save by unplugging all of them! How simple is that?!

Thank you for taking the time to read today, I hope this post has given you some money savings ideas to put to use. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
